“Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.” — Jesus

Light chases away darkness and reveals truth. Much like Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, this piece considers the idea that we cannot see things as they truly are without an ultimate, true source of light. Everything else is merely a shadow until we see clearly.

There comes a time in every human life when we question what — and who — defines ultimate truth. Who holds the highest authority over what is right and wrong? Is this source blameless and capable of defining an eternal truth that transcends time, trend and circumstance?
